Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.0) OS: Linux After upgrade to 4.6.0 it's not possible to logout from KDE anymore. I use runlevel=3 to load so I firstly log out to console and then halt or reboot to finish my work session. When I press Log Out button in K menu it first tries to play logoff sound and then there's no action at all. According to console output there's nothing special is under way, normal work and no application is closed. For example, now I already pressed Log Out about 30 minutes ago, but the session is still active and without any difference. It's a pity but the only way to stop KDE is Ctrl+C in console. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Press Log Out button in K menu. 2. Notice the logoff sound. 3. Notice that no application is closed and KDE continues working.
Could you check if this is a duplicate of bug 264869? There updating KDM to 4.6 solved the problem.
I looked through it but I don't use KDM (login using runlevel=3 and then startx), but I've recompiled kdelibs-4.6.0 and kdebase-workspace-4.6.0 and the bug isn't reproducible anymore for unknown reason. I just also installed upower daemon maybe this makes sense. Should I close it with WORKSFORME?
Can't reproduce it neither with later KDE 4.6 nor with newer 4.7. I think it can be closed completely.
