Version: 2.0.89 (using Devel) OS: Linux In KMail 1.x, the Copy/Move/Jump dialogs (C, M and J shortcuts) would allow for quick typing of the destination folder and allow for selecting subfolders. In KMail 2.x, this functionality has usability issues. In addition to bug 262033, the filtering is wrong: the subfolders are not selectable, but parent folders are. This has the weird effect that if you click the "New subfolder" button and create the subfolder, it is not shown, and no feedback is given to the user that a folder was created. Please change back to the KMail 1.x style of filtering. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select any email 2. Press C, M or J 3. Start typing the name of a folder that contains subfolders Actual Results: You can move up & down in the folder hierarchy from the folder names that matched to the roots, but the subfolders are not matched. Expected Results: The folder hierarchy is shown, but the parent folders to the folders that matched the search should not be selectable. The subfolders of the folders that matched should be visible and selectable. OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.36.2-server-1mnb Compiler: gcc
adding this regression to showstoppers
It's an important bug but i don't agree it's a blocker. Stephen, do we have any proxy model to implement the old behaviour easily ?
Removing blocker as the functionality is there just in a different way (filter on the last folder).
Now just item which is matched is selectable. fixed in 4.7.3/master
