Description Raphael Kubo da Costa 2011-01-04 04:42:10 UTC
Version: unspecified (using Devel)
OS: FreeBSD

This is kdepim on a167c3e642cc1e974c69b5031d2b36e1f1cff8f1.

When I'm on the message list, have at least one message select and type 'M', the 'Move Messages to Folder' dialog is shown. The focus is on the folder list, so I can start typing the name of a folder and have it automatically selected. After I press Enter and effectively move the messages to a different folder, if I type 'M' again to move other messages, the focus is still on the 'OK' button instead of being on the folder list, so if I type the name of a folder it is not selected. Additionally, if I type 'Esc', the next time I press 'M' the Cancel button is focused.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
* Select at least one message.
* Press 'M' so the 'Move Messages to Folder' dialog is shown.
* Type part of the name of a folder.
* Press Enter to move the messages to the new folder.
* Select at least one message.
* Press 'M' again.
* Notice the focus is on the OK button.

Actual Results:
* When one starts typing the name of a folder, it is not selected, nor is the list filtered.

Expected Results:
* The list should be filtered as the user types the name of a folder.

I cannot reproduce this with your steps. (tried with oxygen and qtcurve in case a theme hack could change the default behaviour).

Hmm, I'm now on 6c6f567 (using Oxygen) and still experience the same problem.

An easier to reproduce it is to select one message, type 'M', type something like 'aaaaaa' and the click the Cancel button. The next time 'M' is typed, the focus is on the Cancel button.

Can't reproduce now.
Please re-test in new version.

I've just been able to reproduce it with kdepim e2e2b0a.

- Select the bugzilla mail about this very report.
- Type 'm' to open the Move To dialog.
- Type something ('trash'), for example.
- Click the Cancel button.
- Type 'm' again.
- Typing 'trash' does not do anything.
