Created attachment 56326 [details] what i would like see on dolphin info panel Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.3) OS: Linux think one moment you have a cellphone || video-camera ||videostuff (i have nokia 5800 with tons of video picitures..and audio) you took for example just the file renaming. you have 100 videos with all dsc000****.avi names you have the same photo preview.. black\white (cellphone especially ) to pick the right video ,and rename it or erase the bad clips, you have to play them by selecting one and click on play button (info panel ) this is not comfortable. Gnome user and Mac can play automatically video and audio and do the renaming operation in a faster way. but there are other example i have here , i use to record a lots of audio conversations and ... of course i can't remember the name dsc0023455754754.wav is what i have recorded now and the dsc000023455754755.wav is what i recorded 2 days ago.. so typically you have always to open a wav editor or a player to understand which file you have under the arrow... this is really not comfortable. Kde is a mature destkop that has a the video\audio preview but it's not comfortable. a simple play automatically option on dolphin will resolve the problem. NOTE on the OPEN\UPLOAD windows there is already this feature but in dolphin no. should be pretty easy to do i guess and i have seen a lots of people that are using gnome and often they said : dolphin is lacking about some feature like this one.. we live in the multimedia world... and they right Multimedia video photo audio stuff are very important for everyone... to understand which one you want pick you should select the file play in the info panel but you have to click on the play button Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: install kffmpegthumbnailer open dolphin open a folder full of dsc0000****random.avi select a video file view the preview on the info panel black preview showed click on play info panel (no it's not the clip you wanna show to your girlfriend) select another dsc0000****random.avi view the preview on the info panel black preview showed click on play info panel (no it's not the clip you wanna show to your girlfriend) .. .. .. get mad gnome has this :( mac has this :( kde no
mm i am blind!? where is the edit button :S
