Description Henrique Sant'Anna 2011-01-19 03:09:01 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.5)
OS: Linux

On Dolphin, when the using Konsole as KDE's default terminal app, if you press the "Open terminal" keystroke (SHIFT+F4), a new window will open with Konsole already on the same directory as Dolphin.

But if Yakuake is set as KDE's default terminal, it will not open on desired path after pressing the keystroke to "Open terminal", but instead on the user home directory.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1) Set the KDE's default terminal app to yakuake.
2) Open Dolphin and browse to any directory (not the user home), ex. /usr/share/
3) Press SHIFT+F4, or the equivalent "Open terminal" keystroke (not the terminal panel).

Actual Results:
Yakuake window shows up, but not on the same directory browsed by Dolphin.
Yakuake will show up on the same directory as it was before, the user home, or any other it was before.

Expected Results:
Yakuake window to shows up in the same directory as Dolphin, preferable using a new tab.

This is a bug, not a wish :-)

Is there any work around this bug? This would be nice if it's done.

Still present on KDE 4.7.

sounds similar to or related with Bug 280052.

*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 280052 ***
Comment 5 Henrique Sant'Anna 2012-01-08 19:59:55 UTC
Bug 263607 can't be duplicate of bug 280052 since the first one is older. That way, bug 280052 is the duplicated one.
