Description H Dijkema 2001-05-28 09:51:33 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: konqueror
Version: 2.1.1 (using KDE 2.1.2 )
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: compiled sources
Compiler: gcc version egcs-2.91.66 19990314/Linux (egcs-1.1.2 release)
OS: Linux 2.2.13 i686
OS/Compiler notes:

Well the column width does not adapt to the length
of the file names. So you don't see what name the file
has.

MS Windows does adapt the column width to be able to
display the maximum file name length in a directory. It
would be very very nice to have this option in konqueror
too.

If nobody objects I will mark this as a duplicate of bug 26287 since the description of the wish is a little better there.
