Hello,

I have this latest version of KDE on Debian unstable running and that bug reported to be fixed apparently is not. Well, the trace looks slightly different, but the symptom is much the same. I do not recall to have typed enter. I tend to think that this bug is not yet fixed - or at least not in my 4.4.5.

What is possibly special is that the internet connection was not automatically opened but I had only a few seconds earlier run the sequence

sudo ifup eth0 (via dhcp)
sudo apt-get update

and ran the ALT-F2 in parallel with that apt-get update not yet completed.

skype was not yet up and possibly the one or other KDE demon also waited for something, still, I/O load was high because of the apt-get update. Kopete is installed but offline.
