Description Manfred Morgner 2001-05-22 21:25:00 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: korganizer
Version: 2.1 (using KDE 2.1.2 )
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: Debian Package 4:2.1.2-0.potato1 (2.2)
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.2 20000220 (Debian GNU/Linux)
OS: Linux 2.4.4 i686
OS/Compiler notes:

There are 2 wishes about mouse handling:

(1) it shpuld be possible to create dates by draging the mouse over the time span for it.

(2) moving dates with the same time should show the time-frame-boxes side by side and not overlaying on each other.

Many thanks
Manfred.

I just flew over the KDE usability Study by Relevantive available at:
http://www.linux-usability.de/download/linux_usability_report.pdf (German)

According to the study 90% of all users tried to create new apointments by
marking the time and typing. When that failed some tried to right click on the
selection whch failed again.

Cheers,
Thorsten

P,S,: There are some more problems w/ korganizer usability listed in the report.
The full report is downloadable @ the above location.

The second item of the report has long been implemented. The first one is either also
implemented (if it's meant in the way to select the time span and then select the menu
item "New Event..."), or it's a duplicate of our oldest report #5241. Thus I'm marking
this report as duplicate of that one.
