Version: 1.13.5 (using KDE 4.5.80) OS: Linux Since the above mentioned upgrade copying something from a mail to clipboard gives me this "<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <body>content</body>" in the clipboard. It does not matter if the mail is HTML or not. I know that running 4.4.x-series with 4.6 Beta is not supported, but there are no KDE PIM 4.6 Beta packages for Kubuntu that I am aware of. And may be the bug is general, not related to that combination. Reproducible: Always OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.37-7-generic-pae Compiler: cc
Same with kmail 4.4.8 and 4.4.9 on my Gentoo system. This is a very annoying bug, as one simply can't "just" copy something out of kmail anymore but has to remove the HTML stuff by hand after pasting the text somewhere.

(why haven't I been added to CC automatically when the other bug was marked as duplicate?) (In reply to comment #1) > Same with kmail 4.4.8 and 4.4.9 on my Gentoo system. To make things worse, newlines and HTML meta-characters like <, > are written HTML-compatible.
Also occurs with kde 4.4.5 kmail 1.13.5. This version was just distributed to all Kubuntu 10.04 LTS users.
I have the same problem here on fedora 14. $ rpm -qa|grep kdepim|sort kdepim-4.4.9-2.fc14.x86_64 kdepim-libs-4.4.9-2.fc14.x86_64 kdepimlibs-4.5.5-1.fc14.x86_64 kdepimlibs-akonadi-4.5.5-1.fc14.x86_64 kdepim-runtime-.4.9-1.fc14.x86_64 kdepim-runtime-libs-4.4.9-1.fc14.x86_64 This same bug is resolved: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=259468 I found another discussion on opensuse: http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/applications/452551-copy-paste-kmail.html
