Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.80) OS: Linux My use case: I like to put big notes on the desktop using the notes widget, then rotate it to make it look cool. Then I move it up, but one of its edges is outside the desktop, but the text is still readable. When this situation is detected by plasma, it will automatically move the notes plasmoid to make it completely visible (no clipping borders). I would like to have an option to disable this behavior for a single plasmoid, because I'd like my notes plasmoid to stay there. (see screenshot) My workaround in KDE 4.5.4 to quickly hit Alt+D,L (lock plasmoids) before plasma starts moving it. But now in KDE 4.5.80 locking will also move the plasmoid down. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Add a notes widget on the desktop 2. Type a text into it 3. Rotate the plasmoid to the left a few degrees to make it look cool 4. Move the plasmoid up, making its top corner invisible, but the text is still visible (see attached screenshot) 5. Move the mouse away from the plasmoid Actual Results: Plasma moves the plasmoid down to make it completely visible and prevent clipping. Expected Results: Plasma leaves the plasmoid where it is, as per a plasmoid-based option (option to be added)

Hello! This feature request was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this feature request is already implemented in Plasma 5, or is no longer applicable. Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this feature request. If the requested feature is still desired but not implemented in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging Thanks for your understanding!
