Description Mário Oravec 2010-11-23 16:21:17 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.3)
OS: Linux

If I use plasma panel at some edge and have it in auto hide mode than if I use
krdc in full screen mode, it is not possible to interact with mouse at the are near the edge the panel is hidden.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1, create plasma panel
2, add it let say at top edge in the middle
3, set it in auto hide mode
4, open krdc
5, press the full screen button

Actual Results:
6, not possible to press any button in krdc toolbar.

Expected Results:
6, it is possible to press any toolbar button in a krdc toolbar.

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.34.7-0.5-default
Compiler: gcc

As a workaround, you can move the KRDC full screen toolbar to another location. Does that work for you? (Probably you need to disable the plasma toolbar temporarily for doing that operation)
Comment 2 Mário Oravec 2010-11-29 11:02:04 UTC
It is not just the question of krdc toolbar, the area where plasma
panel is positionned if unhided is not usable in krdc.

@Tony: will this issue also be fixed with your recent work on the full screen mode?
Comment 4 Andreas Blochberger 2011-02-02 14:00:45 UTC
I guess this is the same as Bug 232554, because plasma is responsible for display auto-hide panels. It should not show auto-gide panels behind fullscreen windows.
Comment 5 Mário Oravec 2011-02-03 06:04:53 UTC
I would say same. Bug 232554 is same as this one.

guess it could be fixed in "svn rev 1213515". I have retested it with the following configuration/updated on 2011/02/07/ and experienced the same results.

OS: Linux 2.6.34.7-0.7-default x86_64
System: openSUSE 11.3 (x86_64)
KDE: 4.6.00 (4.6.0)

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=211931 is also a duplicate
together with
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=232554

I suggest deciding on one and closing the others as dups

I have a comparable set to Mario, just it's opensuse 11.4rc1, kde4.6.0 as well and here it doesn't work either non surprisingly =)
