This crash still happens with KDE-4.6.0 and QT-4.7.1 if Qt-GUI is allowed to use the raster graphicssystem as the default renderer. At least on my laptop with Intel GME 965 chipset. Another laptop with Intel HD Chipset (Arrandale) does not crash, but the desktop is utterly distorted until "raster renderer" is deactivated.

Some global QWidget somewhere... KSelectionOwner? See also bug 261539, which is for KIdleTime.

I have the same issue, and my Qt graphics system is set to Native, with GeForce GTS450.

As both KDE 4.5.3 and Qt 4.7.0 are off the grid for a long time, now, this can surely be closed, can't it?
