Description Simeon Bird 2010-10-12 13:59:16 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.2)
OS: Linux

In KDE 4.5, the "folder view" plasmoid no longer automatically opens subfolders.
Instead, you have to click an icon in the middle left of the folder.

The icon should appear on hovering over the folder in folder view, immediately below the "+" symbol.

For the air theme, this icon is present and looks like an upwards pointing arrow.
For other themes, including Aya, Blend, Elegance and Oxygen, this icon is missing, although clicking where it should be still opens the subfolder.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add folderview to desktop.
2. Use the Oxygen theme
3. Note lack of upward-pointing-arrow icon

this bug should be reported to each theme creator. Not a KDE bug.

[Comment from a bug triager]
Note that the Oxygen case (theme developed/distributed by KDE) is already reported at bug 256375 and it seems to be fixed on KDE SC 4.6betas

It is true that the themes' dev should be the ones to fix this, but may be some kind of "fallback" icon option can be added ? Otherwise this report should be closed as DOWNSTREAM (considering that the Oxygen case is already reported)

Regards

This is fixed here for all default themes in KDE 4.6.1.
Thanks.
