Version: unspecified OS: Linux Bug reported here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdesdk/+bug/625128 The Icons in the maintoolbar in Kate rearrarange themselves when opening Kate in a new session with files. This is reproducible, and the Icons always appear to rearrange themselves in a fixed position after a while (although I don't know where this position is defined...). A picture showing the rearrangement is attached. Kate version: 3.5.0 Reproducible: Didn't try

Still in KDE 4.7.
Dang, I thought I was going crazy, I can confirm this bug exists. I've had it happen with regular files but I can reproduce it consistently by doing the following: 1. Open a "normal" file 2. Open a binary file or something that brings up the "Broken Encoding" dialog (I used a JPEG file) The icons rearrange themselves for the second file. Clicking back and forth between the two files on the Tab Bar will eventually (after a couple of clicks) result in the icons becoming the same. Using Kate 3.7.4.
I'm having this same issue. It's very annoying. KDE 4.7.4 + Kate 3.7.4
Problem is still occurring on Kate 3.8.5 and KDE 4.8.5.
That is a xmlgui problem. Somehow the xmlguiclient don't merge them in the right way.
