(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: kmail Version: 1.1.99 (KDE 2.0.1) Severity: wishlist Compiler: gcc version egcs-2.91.66 19990314/Linux (egcs-1.1.2 release) OS: Linux 2.2.16-22smp i686 (Red Hat Linux ) Some of my identities are mail aliases which I share with others. When I reply as one of these identities it would be useful to have the CC field filled in automatically with the mail alias so everyone on it could see my reply. One way to do this would be to add a "CC" field to the Identity dialog similar to the "Reply-To Address".
I need a CC field, too, but how about allowing /any/ custom heades being declared in an [Identity] section? Maybe use a prefix to recognize these kmailrc entries PredefinedHeader.Organization= PredefinedHeader.Reply-To= PredefinedHeader.CC= ...and add them to each new message whether or not there is a gui for that header. That way you can add your own headers to kmailrc or enter them via a preferences gui that allows freeform (typed in) headers like the filters already do.
KMail will let you set BCCs in the advanced identity options. Thorsten
It's already possible to define global custom headers. But it makes sense to also have identity-dependant custom headers.
I agree with the other feature requesters that adding a standard CC and BCC (maybe even TO) option in the advanced identity configuration would be a great new feature. @Comment #2: This must be only valid for versions higher than 1.4.3?! Frank

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented. Thank you for your understanding.
Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
Custom headers per idendity are still not available in KMail2 (checked in 4.8.5)
