Description Kai Uwe Broulik 2010-08-31 03:56:50 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.0)
OS: Linux

I like the system of .desktop files as little neat launchers for any stuff, so I use them frequently.
In .desktop files you can specify its title. This title is only respected if the folderview is set to display “desktop folder”. In any other location (even manually browsed to ~/Desktop) the desktop file‘s real file name will be displayed, which is annoying because of its .desktop file extension.
The only workaround was to remove the .desktop from its name and use folderview‘s advanced filtering methods which do not rely on filename extensions.

Reproducible: Didn't try
