Description Sabine Faure 2010-08-20 00:15:44 UTC
Version: unspecified (using Devel)
OS: Linux

When readding an Imap account a kolab resource is displayed as well in the Folder view.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
- Launch Kmail-mobile
- Open the 'Actions' tab
- Click on 'Account'
- Delete your current Imap account by selecting it and clicking on 'Delete'
- You current Imap account is correctly deleted
- Quit Kmail-mobile
- Relaunch Kmail-mobile
- Open the 'Actions' tab
- Click on 'Account'
- Click on 'add'
- The account wizard launches follow the steps to readd your Imap account
- Click on 'Finish'

Actual Results:
The Imap account is created succesfully and displayed in Kmail-mobile Folder view (ex:akonadi_imap_resource_7).

Expected Results:
There is a Kolab resource displayed in the Folder view that has been created at the same time (ex: Kolab (akonadi_imap_...).

The Kolab resource was not displayed before so I am guessing that it should not be there.

After stopping and relaunching Akonadi server the kolab resource is not displayed anymore in the Folder view.

Hi Sabine,

Are you able to navigate into the kolab folder when it is there and open items?

Please test after r1175276, which unhides some folders in the ui. I think what you saw is a configuration issue in the kolab server. After that revision you might see the kolab one all the time, but maybe we can fix the config issue in the server if that's the case.

All the best,

Steve.

Hi Stephen!

I'll retest this next time I need to reconfigure an Imap account.
You should not wait too long ;o)

Hi Stephen!

I had to delete both my Imap and Kolab resources today since they were not working properly (the Imap resource would not sync anymore and a new one would not sync either so I deleted both the Imap and Kolab resources in the end).

I started by reconfiguring the Kolab resource from the Account wizard on the N900 and I saw it appeared in the Folder view.

I was also able to navigate into it and open its children folders but they were all empty (see snapshot enclosed).

So the bug is still there

Note for myself:
- After creating my Kolab resource an Imap one appeared in the folder view automatically.
- After all that the Imap resource syncs fine again.

The problem was that KMimeType thought text/x-vnd.akonadi.note was an alias for message/rfc822.

Try again Sabine, it's fixed.

Since this will take me a while I'll retest it next week.

Sorry about the delay.

Thx for looking into it though ;o)

It is corrected now.

I retested this today and the Kolab resource is not displayed anymore in the folder view so I am closing this bug.
