Description Toralf Förster 2010-07-31 18:03:26 UTC
Version: 0.2 (using KDE 4.4.5)
OS: Linux

I'm using a ThinkPadT400 + docking station. Only the devices directly plugged in into the T400 are recognized, neither mouse, nor printer nor any usb drive are seen if plugged into the docking station.

Reproducible: Always

Does "lsusb" from command line show the devices?

Hi,

Can you tell me if /usr/share/hwdata/usb.ids exists on your PC.

Thanks

tfoerste@n22 ~/tmp $ ls -l /usr/share/hwdata/usb.ids
ls: cannot access /usr/share/hwdata/usb.ids: No such file or directory
tfoerste@n22 ~/tmp $ slocate usb.ids
/usr/share/w_scan/usb.ids
/usr/share/misc/usb.ids.old
/usr/share/misc/usb.ids.gz
/usr/share/misc/usb.ids
/usr/share/apps/kcmusb/usb.ids

FWIW it is solved by kernel 3.4.4-rc1.
