Description Alex Richardson 2010-07-12 23:47:16 UTC
Version: 1.13.5 (using Devel)
OS: Linux

I renamed one folder and after that all mails which had previously been filtered to a subdirectory of that folder now landed in my inbox. Since this was the folder containing all my mailing list subscriptions I had to adapt quite a few filters to that new folder name. The settings dialog showed the following target directory after renaming:

Unknown folder '.inbox.directory/.alex.richardson AT gmx.de.directory/.inbox.directory/.Computer.directory/.KDE.directory/kde-scm-interest'

after changing it the dialog displayed:
Local Folders/inbox/alex.richardson AT gmx.de/inbox/Mailing-lists/Programmieren/KDE/kde-scm-interest

without all those .directory entries.
It seems to me that the filters do not get updated if you change a folder name. IMO this would be a quite important feature.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Duplicate of Bug 155895 ?

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.

Pretty sure this is no longer valid.
