Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.3) OS: Linux When extrating a zip, i've indicated that it should be extracted on a samba share, i indicate that it should create a new folder. After extracting the new folder on the samba share has been created, but the files are not placed in there but in my home directory. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Get a zip with 2 files in there, not in a subfolder 2. open the zip with ark 3. choose extract 4. point to a folder on a samba share 5. tell ark to create a new folder for extraction 6. extract. Actual Results: files are in my ~ instead of in the expected folder, which has been created by ark successfully. Expected Results: files in the designated folder OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.30-1-686 Compiler: cc Ark version: 2.14 (not listed in the pull down).

This happen also into KDE 4.5.x . Ark can't handle KIO slave. To happen with sftp kioslave.
I mean that to me happen with sftp KIO slave, but If I use Konqueror to copy a file from my home to the sftp kio slave. It works. So it's an ark issue.
Changing the default assignee in the currently open Ark bug reports to me.

Sorry for the duplicate mess, but I think it makes sense to keep track of this only in bug 204323, which is older and has a title which better matches the problem.
