Version: (using KDE 4.4.2) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages There are many organisations deploying strict NT authentication these days (e.g. through Forefront TMG). For all those, the 'usual' settings, and suggestions, for the proxy: http://username:password@my.proxy do not work. They result in Error 407. If KDE wants to make inroads to organisational environments, it urgently needs an integrated proxy (that is: NOT fiddling with ntlmaps and its LM_PART:1 - NT_PART:1 - NTLM_FLAGS: 07820000) that does implement NT by default; and works system-wide (see bug 236721). That is: redirecting any request, be it from Kterm, firefox, amarok or apt-get, through this proxy.
Is this still an issue with KDE Frameworks 5.44 or greater?
