there are many things you can do with folders, where it should not be necessary, to open it in main panel.

for example: open a music folder in "audacious" music player, or showing folder statistics with "fsview" and many more..

please provide at least an "open with" in folder-view context menu. there are other nice entries I wish like bug 219456. try to only hide those options, which really make no sense.

Sorry, no plans. I took over Dolphin's maintainership quite recently, and I don't even have enough time to take care of the bugs properly :-(

Moreover, this wish did not get really much feedback/votes from other users, so I'm not quite sure how important this feature would be.
