How about adding a Create Folder (and eventually a Create File) items to the right click (on a folder name) popup menu in the folders/places panel? They would be a plus in usability when youre sorting out files because you wouldnt have the need to switch to the target parent folder, create the new one and then switch back to the folder you were working on and where the source files are located.

I vote for this, too. I really often miss some items in the context menu in the folder-view, which means some extra clicks.

This feature was implemented at some point, and I can see it in Dolphin 17.12 and 18.04.
