What I was doing when the application crashed:
I had woken my computer up from sleep. Previously connected to my home wireless netowrk - woke it up in another location where there is both a wireless and wired connection. Plugged in wired connection and got IP but still couldn't connect, so I ran "service network-manager stop" followed by "service network-manager start" and the crash happened.
