Description squan 2010-04-18 08:42:23 UTC
Application: konqueror (4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2) "release 238")
KDE Platform Version: 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2) "release 238"
Qt Version: 4.6.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.31.12-0.2-default i686
Distribution: "openSUSE 11.2 (i586)"

-- Information about the crash:
This happened few minutes after starting a new KDE session with over 20 saved konqueror instances with about 90 tabs.
Since my aging notebook cannot handle this number of loaded web pages (due to RAM constraints) I normally start KDE with network disconnected and kill all related kio_* processes after session load (this is my usual KDE start procedure).
After this I started googlearth from konsole came up properly and another konqueror with krunner which never showed up.

Instead heavy disk thrashing started due to some processes with high disk io with plasma_desktop interestingly at the top (with about 700kb/s).

After about 2 minutes I got the KDE crash manager for each konqueror.
At this time this happened two times to me and cannot say if it will happen on every login.

Thanks for the report! This looks like a known problem. As a workaround, try
removing the contents of the folder "/var/tmp/kdecache-$USERNAME/kpc/"
