Application that crashed: kontact Version of the application: 4.3.5 KDE Version: 4.3.5 (KDE 4.3.5) Qt Version: 4.5.2 Operating System: Linux 2.6.31-20-generic i686 Distribution: Ubuntu 9.10 What I was doing when the application crashed: I had just started Karmic and entered password to Wallet for access to WIFI and Kontact. I had not started any other applications. I launched Kontact email. Viewing email, I tried to save a message (ctrl+S) was unsure about what folder to save to, so I cancelled save. Then I saved again and Kontact crashed. However the crashes usually occur as I open Dolphin to look for a file. Could there be some issue between Kontact and file manager functions? -- Backtrace: Application: Kontact (kontact), signal: Segmentation fault [KCrash Handler] #6 0x08d95ce3 in KMail::MessageListView::Widget::getSelectionStats (this=0x979aab0, selectedSernums=..., selectedVisibleSernums=..., allSelectedBelongToSameThread=0xbfc46a9f, includeCollapsedChildren=<value optimized out>) at ../../kmail/messagelistview/widget.cpp:580 #7 0x08d8e316 in KMail::MessageListView::Pane::getSelectionStats (this=0x9805de8, selectedSernums=..., selectedVisibleSernums=..., allSelectedBelongToSameThread=0xbfc46a9f, includeCollapsedChildren=6) at ../../kmail/messagelistview/pane.cpp:622 #8 0x08c3e51c in KMMainWidget::updateMessageActions (this=0x98094e0) at ../../kmail/kmmainwidget.cpp:4274 #9 0x08c58052 in KMMainWidget::qt_metacall (this=0x98094e0, _c=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, _id=21, _a=0xbfc46b7c) at ./kmmainwidget.moc:367 #10 0x008f6263 in QMetaObject::activate (sender=0x9b87080, from_signal_index=4, to_signal_index=4, argv=0x0) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3113 #11 0x008f6ec2 in QMetaObject::activate (sender=0x9b87080, m=0x9d1904, local_signal_index=0, argv=0x0) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3187 #12 0x00930667 in QTimer::timeout (this=0x9b87080) at .moc/release-shared/moc_qtimer.cpp:128 #13 0x008fb9ae in QTimer::timerEvent (this=0x9b87080, e=0xbfc47010) at kernel/qtimer.cpp:261 #14 0x008f03bf in QObject::event (this=0x9b87080, e=0xbfc47010) at kernel/qobject.cpp:1075 #15 0x01013f54 in QApplicationPrivate::notify_helper (this=0x93ad018, receiver=0x9b87080, e=0xbfc47010) at kernel/qapplication.cpp:4056 #16 0x0101b67c in QApplication::notify (this=0xbfc47374, receiver=0x9b87080, e=0xbfc47010) at kernel/qapplication.cpp:3603 #17 0x00bc225a in KApplication::notify (this=0xbfc47374, receiver=0x9b87080, event=0xbfc47010) at ../../kdeui/kernel/kapplication.cpp:302 #18 0x008e06cb in QCoreApplication::notifyInternal (this=0xbfc47374, receiver=0x9b87080, event=0xbfc47010) at kernel/qcoreapplication.cpp:610 #19 0x0090d7ce in QCoreApplication::sendEvent (this=0x93a2e34) at ../../include/QtCore/../../src/corelib/kernel/qcoreapplication.h:213 #20 QTimerInfoList::activateTimers (this=0x93a2e34) at kernel/qeventdispatcher_unix.cpp:572 #21 0x0090b0e0 in timerSourceDispatch (source=0x93a2e00) at kernel/qeventdispatcher_glib.cpp:165 #22 0x08822e88 in g_main_context_dispatch () from /lib/libglib-2.0.so.0 #23 0x08826730 in ??
