This morning plasma crashed with firefox open and a flash game called evony. I have noticed that on a clean reboot I use under 300 MB of memory in KDE. But this morining it was using almost 800 MB and I didn't have anything running it was sitting idle last night. Similar things have happen lately and it is usually X and plasma_workspace that have all the memory. If I logout and login the it usually drops significatnly but I have to restart to the whole machine to get it to stay under the 300 MB it used to be. This memory consumption was noticed using the plasmoid for memory with system monitor.
