Version: (using KDE 4.4.2) OS: Linux Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages The simple menu can show a combination of "Name" and "Description" to select the program to be executed. In the current version of the applet, the description and name fields are inverted, so if one selects name only, he gets the description and viceversa. As an aside, it's confusing that the description is taken from the "GenericName" .desktop field, that got me confused about the cause of the odd behaviour.
Created attachment 42689 [details] Fix for the problem This patch inverts the role of text and name in the compositing of the menu, apparently the title and subtitle got switched some time ago.
Isn't this bug only with the games sub menu?
Christoph, you are right. So what is actually going on here?
Aaron decided it is better to have descriptions instead of names for games. Please add your rant at the duplicate :) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 226202 ***
