Version: (using KDE 4.4.1) OS: Linux Installed from: Gentoo Packages On behalf of another KDE user I’m filing this wish: when the picture frame displays a folder as slideshow, it would be nice to be able to configure whether the images are shown in random or sorted order. Cheers...
Rightclick the picture frame, go to settings, there is a checkbox "randomize", so this is possible :)
I'm on KDE 4.4.3 and using Gentoo. When I go to Wallpaper settings, I don't see any checkbox for "randomize". Can you be a little more specific? Maybe I am on a different screen or something. I right click on the desktop and click Folder View Activity Settings to get to the screen to setup the slideshow. I don't see the option there. Thanks.

This is about the wallpaper slideshow on the desktop. At least that is what it is called in KDE 3 anyway. I have a image slide show with directories selected that have images specifically for slide shows, like mini movies. The images make no sense when shown in random. I need a way to remove the random image feature and them to be show in order they are in the directory.
Since this is not resolved, could you reopen? I don't appear to be able to change that. This is still a needed feature.

But really you should read your first post, you called it "picture frame plasmoid" the whole time, so I hope you can see why I got this wrong. I changed the title a bit to clarify what is meant. Good Luck with this wish :)
Thanks, someone else actually created the bug for me. I didn't know I had a account here until I got here. Also, he knows more about KDE 4 than I do. It appears neither of us knows what that is actually called. Glad you came along to place a actual name to it. Thanks much.
Dale, I reread your mail on gentoo.users where you asked for the feature and indeed you were talking of the desktop, not the applet. And even in the subject of this bug I'm speaking of "wallpaper". Only in the text I’m beginning to write about the picture frame for some reason. So it’s been a misunderstanding on my part, sorry.

This concerns the image wallpaper plugin (which implements the slideshow as far as I can tell), so changing the component to "wallpaper-image".
