Version: (using KDE 4.2.0) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages I have a directory with some 2000 background images. I have the desktop background configured as slideshow so that it will show another background every minute. The problem is that the slideshow always shows the images in the same order. This way, I always see the first 600 images, but never the other 1400 because by then I shut down my laptop. There should be a checkbox "Randomize images" or something like that to show the backgrounds at random

This report is the opposite of bug #201922. Currently wallpapers are in random order. There isn't any option.
Perhaps the 'random order' is a poorly-configured randomizer? My car CD Player does 'random' but it is _always_ a doubling of the previous track number, so I always hear tracks 1, 2, 4, 8, and 16. Perhaps that is the reason the initial reporter is always seeing the same images?

It's been a while. Any progress on changing this? I have photos set up for slideshows and this is just ruining the whole effort put into it.
Hello! This feature request was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this feature request is already implemented in Plasma 5, or is no longer applicable. Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this feature request. If the requested feature is still desired but not implemented in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging Thanks for your understanding!
