Version: (using KDE 4.4.1) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages Since upgrade 4.3.5 to 4.4.X, the dashboard doesn't come up any longer at top screen edge. Definitively not when a fullscreen window is above the desktop. At mouse over of the top edge, it flickers, and in the background something happens, but in almost all cases the screen returns to fullscreen whatever the mouse moves to. It does work on an 'empty' desktop, and mouse over the edge toggles between desktop and dashboard in that case. To me this is pretty much of a showstopper, since this is actually what I want to use the edge function for: to reach the dashboard. I have as well associated the right edge with Dashboard and the top edge with some other widget, and then the function Dashboard doesn't work on the right edge, while top edge is fine. Meaning, the applet Dashboard does not get activated by an edge process when a full screen is covering the desktop.
I confirm that on Archlinux fully updated (KDE 4.4.1). Dashboard is activated but not brought to the front. I believe is the same bug as Bug 226875
I guess that Pablo is right. Once too often, I 'find' a Dashboard active when I leave full-screen. Though, here, sometimes but rarely, it does come to the front.
