Compiler:          opensuse 11.2 build.opensuse.org/KDE 
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    openSUSE RPMs

After restart, all icons on desktop get systematically reordered in alphabetical order from top to bottom / left to right.
Align to grid and Lock in place are checked.
No difference whether 
1) sorting is set on unsorted or by name in Desktop Settings - Plasma Workspace, Display
2) Location is set on Show Desktop folder or on Specify a folder : /home/"my_folder"/Desktop
