Version: (using KDE 4.4.0) Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package Breadcrumb is the default mode for the dolphin location bar. Sometimes you do want to quickly edit the location in text form manually, and it's nice that you can do this easily by simply clicking on the location bar. But it is annoying that you always have to click that small checkmark button afterwards to to get back to normal breadcrumb mode. I think it would be much more user-friendly if the location bar were to automatically switch back to breadcrumb mode when you click *anywhere* in the Dolphin window (i.e., when the manual location entry field loses focus).
Thanks for the report! Note that a similar wish has been reported already (bug 205153).
I've marked the issue as duplicate to 205153, although they are not 100 % equal. I'm still very unsure about this request... For me using Ctrl+Return is sufficient. Automatically switching back will harm other use cases, so even an option is no solution here... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 205153 ***
