Description Michel Franckart 2010-01-26 10:41:57 UTC
Application that crashed: kfax
Version of the application: 3.3.6
KDE Version: 4.3.4 (KDE 4.3.4) "release 2"
Qt Version: 4.5.3
Operating System: Linux 2.6.31.8-0.1-desktop x86_64
Distribution: "openSUSE 11.2 (x86_64)"

What I was doing when the application crashed:
Kfax worked previously but it crashed when I wanted to print faxes opened from kmsgmodem.
I tried 32bit version of kfax, in vain. Deleted it, then reinstalled 64 bit version : immediate crash when I click the kfax icon or launch from command line !
(error message : michel@linux-q8s3:~> kfax
KCrash: Application 'kfax' crashing...
sock_file=/home/michel/.kde4/socket-linux-q8s3/kdeinit4__0

[1]+ Stopped kfax)
I have no problem with opensuse 11.1 x86_64 installed on same PC.
(I am a layman)
Kind regards

Looks similar to bug #217443 and bug #217418 .
Comment 2 Jekyll Wu 2013-09-28 03:08:09 UTC
can't reproduce, looks like a problem in kdelibs. Please try KDE SC 4.10.5 or later to see whether the problem still exists.
Comment 3 Michel Franckart 2013-09-28 16:03:08 UTC
Sorry, I do not fax anymore.

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I will be closing this bug.
