System is HP s3220n with AMD athlon 64x2 5000+, 4GB Ram, 100 GB ext 4 linux partition, Nvidia 8400GS video. Kubuntu 9.10 64 bit. 

Cpu was at high usage for several hours transcoding media. Router may have crashed while knetworkmanager was trying to re-connect.
