Description Paul Arnote 2009-12-13 00:18:46 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.4)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Unspecified Linux

It would be nice to have an option to make the widgets display on ALL desktops, instead of only the desktop you set them up in when you use separate activities for each desktop.

Currently, the only way to get different wallpapers on each desktop is to select separate activities for each desktop. Unfortunately, widgets that are added are only available for the desktop in which you add them. To have them repeated on another desktop means to add them, again, to that desktop/activity container.

I would love to be able to have separate wallpapers in each of my desktops, but maintain the use of my widgets across all desktops. It should be an easy task to allow users the option of displaying their widgets on all desktops, even when separate activities for each desktop is displayed. This would help eliminate the additional memory and CPU overhead caused by running the same widgets multiple times on multiple desktops.
