Description Martin Schlichenmaier 2009-12-06 17:03:04 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: openSUSE RPMs

Application that crashed: plasma-desktop
Version of the application: 0.3
KDE Version: 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1) "release 6"
Qt Version: 4.6.0
Operating System: Linux 2.6.31.5-0.1-desktop x86_64

This probably matches bug 210146 (Qt4.6 bug); install the "libqt4-debuginfo" package and try to get a backtrace (repeat the crash, check the "Developers information" tab in the crash handler dialog and copy&paste that info here)
Thanks

Thank you,

I still did not get more information out of it.

(even after installing the qt debug)

But I checked the corresponding bug information.

If this is correct then I know it is not a kde problem but a Qt problem
I read that QT 4.6 is still not stable.
Do
you know whether downgrading to older versions of QT will help.

Thank you for any help.

Greetings Martin Schlichenmaier

Comment 3 Dario Andres 2009-12-06 21:35:07 UTC
If it is the same problem then yes, downgrading to Qt4.5 will "fix" the issue (as this crash was introduced in Qt4.6). Thanks
