I think this is caused by using the Google Translator plasmoid. I had this same problem and when I removed the plasmoid I was able to successfully start KDE with no internet connection without crashing as described above.
Thanks, for your suggestion, I'll observe the next crash. But I didn't remove google translator and it's seemed to be OK. 2010/1/27 <crazytechie@gmail.com> > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=213348 > > > > > > --- Comment #37 from <crazytechie gmail com> 2010-01-27 20:18:21 --- > I think this is caused by using the Google Translator plasmoid. Uninstalling Google translator widget did it! Thanks
So what is the solution...don't use widgets with a network connection and wait for an update... 2010/1/28 eaglesbc <sbc19861004@gmail.com> > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=213348 > > > > > > --- Comment #39 from eaglesbc <sbc19861004 gmail com> 2010-01-28 03:23:39 > --- > > Yes, I have google translator removed, and the workspace didn't crash > even > > if I don't have a internet connection.
