Cover as displayed by the iPod and even amarok.

I can confirm this for my Debian sid running amarok as of package version 2.2.0-1 on KDE 4.3.2. I do have installed libgpod with GTK support. Even more I do not see any correct cover, they are replaced by a custom generic "no cover" image (see attachement).

This should work with current Amarok 2.2.0, make sure you have a recent libgpod version installed.

Is this still valid with any of the current Amarok versions, be this 2.2.1, 2.2.2 beta ot 2.2.-git?
Comment 9 Yop69 2009-12-18 01:00:47 UTC

Closing for now. Please only reopen this report if you can reproduce it with Amarok 2.2.2 final, to be released later this week.
Comment 11 aliaksandr 2010-01-13 17:17:04 UTC
Reproduced in 2.2.2 (Build Date: Jan 11 2010). Ipod classic 80gb black.
I tried to set cover directly in ipod (not in local collection) in album which has no cover, I tried to unset cover then set new fetched cover but the result was the same: question icon cover in ipod AND in amarok in artist/album list (but when i press "Display Cover" the new fetched cover is shown).

Ubuntu 9.10,
Amarok version: 2:2.2.2-0ubuntu1~karmic1~ppa1

Setting status correctly.
Comment 17 Timothy Lanzi 2011-01-05 02:27:32 UTC
Amarok 2.4-GIT, kubuntu 10.10, iPod 2g nano. Can confirm this bug is still in Amarok.

Comment 20 manu.wagner 2011-01-10 15:13:23 UTC
this bugs is back again with 2.4 git...
it doesn't work either with the itouch anymore.
everything was going ok with both my itouch & nano back in 2.3.x

It seems cover transfer has been removed on purpose, which I don't understand at all :(
Comment 21 Myriam Schweingruber 2011-01-15 10:59:20 UTC
Fixed by this commit:

commit f650886a5343fc88592d1517bf511f6d4262f5d6
Author: Ralf Engels <ralf.engels@nokia.com>
Date: Fri Jan 14 17:14:46 2011 +0100

   Meta::Album::image returns a QImage now
This allows to set ipod covers again without crashing.
