What I was doing when the application crashed:
I was deleting old news feeds in Akregaotrwhen I noticed one of them was blank.  No title.  When I went to go to another group of feeds in the left pane, all of Kontact crashed.  I didn't realize the feed was blank until after I had went to delete it.
