Version:           2.0.82 (using 4.2.4 (KDE 4.2.4), Mandriva Linux release 2009.1 (Official) for i586)
Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.29.6-desktop-2mnb

I would like to ba able to split the main editor window, as kate does with CTRL+MAJ+T, in order to make it easy to adapted a aprt of Latex code to my current one.

I would also like to see this feature. It would be immensely helpful to be able to split the window like one can do in Kate, either vertically or horizontally.
