Description Maciej Pilichowski 2009-09-02 18:20:14 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

When places pane is shown in save/open file dialog it always select this or that item (place). This is incorrect (bug) because user can select manually completely different directory.

When you look in such case at the dialog you will see (for example) big "home" selected entry and normal font "home > documents > summer". Because of the difference user is convinced that saving/opening is done on "home" directory.

This happens when calling the dialog for save/open (it initially preselects place), also when you select any place and navigate further.

To fix the bug place should be selected (minimum) only if location of the place matches with current dir. But I personally wouldn't mind for removing selection entirely, because of its nature -- it is more like an action ("go home") rather than item (it is not like files or directories).
