Version: 2.0 (using 4.3.00 (KDE 4.3.0) "release 155", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.1) Compiler: gcc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.27.25-0.1-default In KDE 3.5 there was a feature to make sticky switching. It was extremely useful if you have 3 layouts configured, but using third of them once a week. It was major usability improvement over windows where you have to switch all 3 in cycle, and I can't fing anything similar in current KDE version. Please put this option back into keyboard layout configuration. Or do something similar - like one keyboard shortcut to switch between 1 and 2, and another - to switch between 1 and 3.
I am adding my voice to this request. This was a very useful feature that just disappeared in the KDE4 transition... Internationalization is one of KDE's biggest strengths, and the main reason i personally use KDE over more lightweight alternative WMs. Seeing internationalization aspects of KDE de-evolve as the project advances is somewhat disappointing. Many thanks to Andriy for his time. I hope he's not the only one working on kxkb, though! :)
I too would like to see this useful feature come back in a future release. Not having to cycle through 3 (or 4) layouts can be a real time-saver in many real-world usage scenarios. I hope it's not much trouble to re-enable it in KDE4...
