Version: (using KDE 4.3.0) OS: Linux Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages Steps to reproduce: - select a video file - press play in the preview area in the information panel - the movie starts playing I head the sound, but I do not see the video I am using the xine phonon backend. I tried with different video formats including mpg files from a DVD. This might be related to bug #203759 where dragonplayer doesn't show videos when not in full screen mode. AFAIR this didn't happen with KDE 4.3 RC2 debian packages. For sure it worked with KDE 4.2.4 debian packages. I am using these debian packages: martin@shambhala:~> apt-show-versions | egrep "(phonon|kdelibs|dragon|dolphin|xine|xserver-xorg-video-radeon|xserver-xorg-core/)" dolphin/sid uptodate 4:4.3.0-1 dragonplayer/sid uptodate 4:4.3.0-1 kdelibs/squeeze uptodate 4:3.5.10.dfsg.1-2 kdelibs-bin/sid uptodate 4:4.3.0-1 kdelibs-data/squeeze uptodate 4:3.5.10.dfsg.1-2 kdelibs-dbg/squeeze uptodate 4:3.5.10.dfsg.1-2 kdelibs4c2a/squeeze uptodate 4:3.5.10.dfsg.1-2 kdelibs5/sid uptodate 4:4.3.0-1 kdelibs5-data/sid uptodate 4:4.3.0-1 kdelibs5-dbg/sid uptodate 4:4.3.0-1 kdelibs5-dev/sid uptodate 4:4.3.0-1 libphonon-dev/sid uptodate 4:4.5.2-1 libphonon4/sid uptodate 4:4.5.2-1 libxine1/sid uptodate 1.1.16.3-1+b2 libxine1-bin/sid uptodate 1.1.16.3-1+b2 libxine1-console/sid uptodate 1.1.16.3-1+b2 libxine1-dbg/sid uptodate 1.1.16.3-1+b2 libxine1-ffmpeg/sid uptodate 1.1.16.3-1+b2 libxine1-misc-plugins/sid uptodate 1.1.16.3-1+b2 libxine1-plugins/sid uptodate 1.1.16.3-1 libxine1-x/sid uptodate 1.1.16.3-1+b2 libxinerama-dev/lenny uptodate 2:1.0.3-2 libxinerama1/lenny uptodate 2:1.0.3-2 phonon/sid uptodate 4:4.5.2-1 phonon-backend-gstreamer/sid uptodate 4:4.3.1-4 phonon-backend-xine/sid uptodate 4:4.3.1-4 phonon-dbg/sid uptodate 4:4.5.2-1 x11proto-xinerama-dev/lenny uptodate 1.1.2-5 xine-ui/squeeze uptodate 0.99.5+cvs20070914-2.1 xserver-xorg-core/sid uptodate 2:1.6.3-1+b1 xserver-xorg-video-radeon/sid uptodate 1:6.12.2-3 xserver-xorg-video-radeonhd/sid uptodate 1.2.5-1 on a ThinkPad T42 with martin@shambhala:~> lspci -nn | grep VGA 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: ATI Technologies Inc RV350 [Mobility Radeon 9600 M10] [1002:4e50]
I didn't report this against the mplayerthumb thing, cause I was not sure whether that means the preview area in the information plane. I thought it might mean thumbnails in icons for video files. Especially as mplayerthumb also is in Konqueror. Feel free to reassign if necessary.
