Version: (using KDE 4.3.0) OS: Linux Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages Since KDE 4.3.0 dragonplayer doesn't show video when not in full screen mode. Steps to reproduce: - play a video in window, the area where they video should be shown remains blank - switch to full screen mode, the video appears, no matter whether the full screen controls are shown or not - switch back, the video disappears Also dolphin does not show video in its preview pane anymore. I will do a separate bug report about that in a moment. I am using the xine phonon backend. I tried with different video formats including mpg files from a DVD. The preview pane in dolphin also doesn't show videos anymore, see bug #203760. In any case I hear the audio when the video is not shown, but I see a blank area instead of the video images. AFAIR this didn't happen with KDE 4.3 RC2 debian packages. For sure it worked correctly with KDE 4.2.4 debian packages.
Have you tried it with other Phonon backends, such as the gstreamer one?
Does it work with other Xine-based players (like GXine or xine-ui)?

I haven't seen this recently. Using KDE 4.3.2 in the meanwhile. I am closing this. I will reopen should it happen again.
