I've noticed that when my battery gets low and I have compositing enabled and I plug in the AC power that I get a blank screen with a mouse cursor but cannot do anything.  If I unplug the AC power I get my desktop back and am able to use my notebook as intended.  If I disable compositing and plug the AC power in I do not get this issue.

- what's you HW configuration (GPU+driver)
- what happens when plugging AC (HAL policies/dmesg)
- does suspend+resume compositing "fix" it (press "shift+alt+f12" twice)

this is probably related to the comment #62ff on bug #185127

can you please check whether only plasma is affeceted and xrefresh cleans the situation?

I haven't been able to duplicate the issue.
