And what is this bugreport for? We can't do anything about picasa... they have to fix their software :)
or jalbum...
well digiKam has not problem with your pictures. For me this entry is not valid... Gilles Caulier
Hmm I don't understand this one (and Gilles doesn't seem to as well). digiKam is displaying everything correctly. I will close this one, but if you really think something is wrong, please give us a better description.
ok i sent a report to jalbum and picasa i am waiting the result
1. i re-open the bug because it's easier to find it 2. i investigate the pb what i understand with digikam : digikam rotates the photo set orientation to top-left(1) <=> normal set preview orientation to top-left but does digikam rotates the preview ? is there a tool to see the preview ? 3. while investigating i see a pb in digikam 0.9.6 assume a photo with 3472x2604 top-left i rotate the photo, result : in digikam we see 3472x2604 top-left and photo is well rotated then 3407x2604 is false and must be replaced by 2604x3472 in file manager (konqueror, properties/metadata) we see 2604x3472 top-left and photo is well rotated
digikam 1.0.0b2 same pb as 0.9.6 see comment #12 chapter 3
You miss understand something : when you touch Exif rotation flag, you don't touch real image. Width and height info are given in original orientation (from others Exif tags). The Exif orientation tag is just provided to photo viewer to rotate image as well. Note : To see preview in digiKam, just press F4. Gilles Caulier
Oups, sorry, not F4, but F3 to see preview Gilles Caulier
there are actual problems this general report and my investigations leads to : bug #20031 bug #20032 bug #20057
sorry i made an error, don't care about comment #16 there are actual problems this general report and my investigations leads to : bug #200031 bug #200032 bug #200057
i made another error it is bug #200357 and not bug #200057
I dont see any problem with the picture reported here. It's EXIF rotation is top-left, it is not rotated for viewing by digikam. The mentioned bug reports may be the cause for some confusion here.
