Preview slider doesn't work with Flash Video, but does work with AVI,MP4,WMV, and Quicktime.

Slider does work with the same files on the same computer with Totem.

I think this is mplayer's fault, from the codecs. Doesn't preview some more recent downloaded youtube flash videos either.

- Which "slider" are you referring to ?
Are you referring to the Preview widget in the Information Panel at the right of the Dolphin window ? or to the "inline and static preview" for movies using the mplayerthumbs external plugin ?

- What is your KDE version ?

Should be fixed with the solution for bug 252539, closing.
