Description Janet 2009-06-14 13:10:11 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.90)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

There doesn't seem to be any option to disable the tooltips in the folderview widget (and the folderview activity). Yes, it's nice to see the content of the folders without opening them but on a non-composite capable computer those solid blocks just get in the way (especially annoying when you cannot even read the text below the icons or in the tooltip because box and text are dark). Same for the informational tooltips that show on mousing over an application link. It would be nice to be able to disable those tooltips independently from each other and independently for every folderview widget, I'd expect to find it in the folderview settings in the folderview widgets/activities context menu in the Display section.
