Description Tanja Schulte 2009-05-31 20:16:44 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.2.85)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

The places sidebar in the folder selection dialog is so narrow that it only shows the first 3 letters of the places which is not really readable. When I resize the folder selection dialog the places sidebar stays the same narrow width. And there is no handle to grab to move the border between places sidebar and the folder tree so you cannot adjust the width manually.

Because of bug 192886, the places panel does not size itself and the icons properly. This bug has been fixed, so there should be no need to add a resize grip. If you still need one, open a separate wish.

I'm not talking about dolphin's places panel as described in Bug 192886. The places panel of the folder selection dialog (which you e.g. get when you want to add a slideshow folder to the picture frame plasmoid) seems to be independent from the dolphin places panel.
